CDC ISSUES SMALLPOX VACCINE WARNING
Many doctors of chiropractic have expressed concern over smallpox vaccinations.
Now, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee
on Vaccine Practices warns people with heart disease (or at least three risk
factors of heart disease) to avoid these vaccinations. This statement was issued
following an emergency meeting of the committee, prompted by the recent deaths
of three healthcare workers who received the vaccine.
Among 350,000 defense department workers who took the vaccine, three died of
heart attack within 2 weeks of vaccination. An additional 2 suffered cardiac
inflammation and 3 experienced chest pain.
The CDC notes that, while these statistics reflect a lower risk than that of the
general population, they feel obligated to investigate a possible link between
the smallpox vaccine and cardiovascular disease.
